Ryan Coogler is explaining how hip-hop is the lifeblood of his hit vampire flick Sinners. In an interview with Rolling Stone, the Oakland native shared how the movie is knowledgeable by hip-hop even by means of its presentation of the blues.
“Blues is the entry level to the film for me, but when blues was the entry level, hip-hop was the automobile that I used to be driving in,” Coogler says within the interview. “For each music that I come throughout in my life expertise, hip-hop is what I do know as being mine.
