
Practically 24 years after her tragic dying, Aaliyah continues to be topping the charts. The R&B icon’s posthumous single “Gone,” that includes Tank, advances to the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Grownup R&B Airplay chart this week.
It marks Aaliyah’s first-ever No. 1 on the Grownup R&B Airplay chart and her highest attain since 1994’s “At Your Greatest (You Are Love),” which peaked at No. 4.

“Gone” is anticipated to seem on Aaliyah’s oft-delayed posthumous album, Unstoppable. The album was initially scheduled to launch in January 2022, following the premiere of the lead single “Poison” that includes The Weeknd in December 2021.
