
R&B rockstar Leon Thomas is on a roll. The Grammy winner has introduced his new EP, PHOLKS, will launch Oct. 24 through EZMNY Data/Motown.
In accordance with press supplies, the mission is “a love letter to lovely chaos and the necessity to really feel” that “doubles down on uncooked creativity following the acclaim of MUTT.”
PHOLKS will embody the lead single, “Simply How You Are,” which is obtainable at present (Oct. 3).
Produced by his “Mutt” collaborators Freaky Rob and D. Phelps, “Simply How You Are” equally attracts from R&B, funk and rock parts, giving it a shiny end for the dance ground. The groove-ready manufacturing is undercut by hazy lyrics that element a lopsided romance.
“And if you had my coronary heart / May by no means end what you began / You’re keen on to choose my world aside / However that’s simply how you might be,” Thomas sings.
“Simply How You Are” arrives with a video, co-starring Lovie Simone, which will be watched beneath.
PHOLKS is the follow-up to Thomas’ lauded sophomore album, MUTT, launched in September 2024. The album was preceded by the title monitor, which, as of this writing, is No. 12 on the Billboard Scorching 100 in its thirty fourth week on the chart.
PHOLKS comes forward of Thomas’ huge Mutts Don’t Heel World Tour, which kicks off Oct. 30 in Dallas.
The tour will go to main cities throughout North America, the U.Okay./Europe and Australia by means of April 2026. It’s price noting that the North American leg, which wraps in late December, is totally bought out.
