Young Thug Claims Hip-Hop Is In A “Weird” Place After Kendrick Lamar & Drake Beef
It goes with out saying that Kendrick Lamar and Drake‘s beef has made its mark on hip-hop, and based on Young Thug, that may not essentially be an excellent factor. Recently, he weighed in on the present state of the style, making it clear that he’s less than impressed with it nowadays.
“I really feel like I at all times wished to do that kind music, after which I really feel like rap is in a bizarre house proper now,” he defined, as seen in a clip shared by @big_business_ on Twitter/X. “Because it simply looks as if all people’s beefing. … Two of the largest artists on the planet conflict, and lots of f*cking ripple impact got here out after that. Weird. I really feel prefer it’s time. I really feel like we gotta take it to the following stage. We gotta stage up. Like, AI. It’s simply a lot. Everything on the planet leveling up besides hip-hop.”
“I really feel like we want one of these sh*t,” he added. “I might be so blissful if hip-hop became pop.”
Did Young Thug Support Drake Or Kendrick Lamar?
While Young Thug might not be a fan of the impact Kendrick Lamar and Drake’s feud has had on hip-hop, he has shown his support for the Toronto rapper a number of occasions lately. During a stream in October, he even stated that Drake has made an even bigger impression than Kendrick.
Young Thug is not the one artist to weigh in on rap beef not too long ago, both. In a resurfaced clip that made its rounds on-line earlier this month, 21 Savage shared his ideas on the idea as a complete, revealing that he cannot get behind it.
“I don’t really believe in rap beef,” he shared. “I do not come from that world although. I really feel prefer it relies upon what world you come from. […] If you say sure sh*t about me in a track, I’mma slap the f*ck out you once I see you. You’re gonna have to face on that sh*t if you see me, I do not actually consider in sure sh*t.”
