Icart Galumette and Louise Juitt might be competing March 6 in Iowa.
Less than two years after announcing it could launch the first-ever Division I ladies’s wrestling program at an HBCU, Delaware State University (DSU) has made it to nationals.
According to Andscape, in November, on the group’s first competitors, the Hornets finished eighth out of 32 groups on the East Stroudsburg University Open in Pennsylvania.
The subsequent month, the group received its first match, beating Greensboro College. Then, on the prime of the yr, in January, on the Tornado Open in Tennessee, the Hornets completed in second place out of 23 groups—fairly an accomplishment for a brand new program.

Both ladies will compete within the NC Women’s Wrestling Tournament at Xtream Arena in Coralville, Iowa, on March 6. Delaware State completed in seventh place out of 18 groups on the NCAA Regional Championship in Franklin Springs, Georgia.
