Jalen Rose has officially been crowned King of the Jalens — and he’s wearing that crown with full confidence.
Creator Rainey Ovalle went viral this week with a hilarious tribute to the explosion of “Jalen” in the NBA, noting that 16 teams across the league currently have at least one player named Jalen on their roster. Multiple teams have more than one. The various spellings and variations of the name have created what Ovalle described as a whole “Jalen-verse” — and according to the creator, we can thank Jalen Rose for starting it all.
“Next draft, more Jalens in the fold,” the video narrated, tracing the lineage from Rose’s iconic career to the current wave of NBA Jalens following in his footsteps.
Rose himself saw it — and responded with the energy of a man who knows exactly what he set in motion. He took his rightful place at the head of the Jalen family tree and didn’t hesitate for a second.
