The social and relationship app for Black individuals introduced the marketing campaign on July 3, also referred to as Nationwide Crown Day. The daring initiative takes self-love to a brand new stage for Black ladies, championing their pure curls and coils. In honor of their new #FreeYourCrown marketing campaign, BLK will sponsor the prices for Black ladies’s pure hairstyles this summer time.

The marketing campaign stems from a cultural shift for Gen Z Black ladies, opting to specific themselves wholeheartedly by their hair. Irrespective of the event or presentation, Black ladies are ditching the self-doubt to rock their genuine model.

“Pure hair has at all times been an emblem of confidence, individuality, and tradition. The survey’s outcomes concluded that over 60% of Black ladies put on their pure hair full time, with over 83% sporting it on first dates. On social media, over 75% of Black ladies repeatedly showcase themselves of their pure hair state.

The marketing campaign won’t solely sponsor hair styling but in addition embrace immersive engagements for others to hitch the trigger. BLK has launched a Pure Hair Social Name-to-Motion. Its goal is to encourage BLK members to alter their profile pics on relationship apps to advertise their pure hairstyles.
