Professional Soccer Corridor of Famer Shannon Sharpe has resolved a lawsuit that accused him of sexual assault, with each events agreeing to dismiss the case, in accordance with an announcement from the plaintiff’s legal professional July 18.

Filed in April in Clark County, Nevada, the lawsuit accused Sharpe of raping a girl — recognized solely as Jane Doe — throughout an almost two-year relationship that started after they met at a Los Angeles gymnasium in 2023. The grievance sought $50 million in damages. The lady, who was 20 on the time they met, alleged Sharpe assaulted her in October 2024 and once more in January.

He stepped away from his ESPN duties on April 24 however said he meant to return in time for the NFL preseason.
