The tune’s lyrics describe a breakup, with the singer realizing that “the cons outweigh the professionals” and that their companion was “only a fraud in lovers garments”. They specific a sense of being “higher by myself” and “higher once you’re gone”. The tune emphasizes transferring on from a poisonous relationship, even when it concerned intense need, because the singer now feels “nothing no extra”.
